PhD: Modelling the impacts of climate change on European sheep and goat systems, SRUC and University of Edinburgh
Oct 2016 - present, Edinburgh, UK
My PhD focuses on the impacts of changes in atomospheric CO2 concentrations, elevated temperature and changes in water availability on grassland systems throughout Europe. I have conducted a meta-analysis on this topic and explored different approaches to modelling the yield and protein content of grasslands. I have used these approaches to model the effects of climate change and am currently exploring methodologies for quantifying the impacts of extreme weather events. For further details, see my publications. This work is part of the iSAGE initiative and is funded by Horizon 2020.
